More Trivia. Excluding the golden trout both the kern river and the volcano creek strains, There originally was very few if any trout above the 6,000 foot elevation level. Except for 3 drainages, What 3 river drainages were true native trout waters here in nor. cal. Hint: they were all cutthroats. This is so easy its childs play . Note: this question does not include lakes !

I'm 99% sure it's the Truckee, east carson, and the walker rivers. they all originally held true native cutthroats. Close Black Cloud. I did the east carson this weekend, Still to high and off color. Big thgunderstorm blew it out friday afternoon. Had limited success. Ended up on the silver fork. Had a good dry fly day there .
