I was wondering around the creek today at access 5, and noticed that some of the C&R signs are missing. I found one ripped down right below the lot at 5, where some people had to of been camping recently down there. There was a dug out fire pit and a clothes line hung from 2 trees.. And it looked like they cleared out some brush... Not to mention all the beer cans and toilet paper everywhere, night crawler and salmon egg jars .. etc. For one.. Camping right there is not o.k. Two.. Having a fire pit right next to dry brush isn't the brightest idea out there. Three.. What are people thinking, they'll just rip the sign down and that makes it ok to break the rules. I hope F&G runs with an iron fist, and doesn't let people get away with ignorance.. Anyways I picked up most of the trash they left behind, I would have got all of it but I forgot my trash bag when I was out. Next time I head out I'll remember to keep a hammer and a few nails in my car just in case I see any more ripped down signs.. peace.

Don't be afraid to use the hammer on the idiots as well.
Nic it's like I said a week ago, I need to throw a couple tools in the truck to fix signs. People get mad when they see that and boom there goes a sign. Same thing happened this year on the Russian. People were coming on both sides of our property which is private to access the honey hole. I built a fence and told my neighbor to do the same thing. A week after I put up my private property and no trespassing signs someone came through and ripped up my signs and threw them on the ground. Probably just a few bad apples....
We will be out there soon to take care of this. Right now, it will take a few days at least as I'm underwater at work. Possible early, early Sunday AM.
In any event, I checked for down/damaged signs at 5, 2, 1, and the bridge and didn't see any. I had nails and a hammer. Picked up a bunch of trash. Steve, I don't recall if we are allowed to put additional signs up or not, but if we are, do you have some printed I could pick up?
We have plenty of signs to put up. If you are going out to the creek I can meet up with you. There is at least one down at the dam parking lots, unless someone put it back up recently.
