Simms Waders

Finally dumping the Cabelas Dry Plus waders and hugely ungrading to Simms. I am looking at the G4s and G3s and was hoping I can get some reviews from those that have used or currently use these waders. Not quit sure which ones yet, hopefully this will help me decide. So any advise, reviews or just your 2cents would be sweet.

I would go else wheres but I have Simms Pro Deals and can get the G4s for 320 and the G3s for 260 so no point in going somewhere else.

Any info would be great.
Thanks
Brian

I think you should bring back the hand me down neoprenes and tennis shoes. Actually its just about wet wading season, don't need waders in the summer. Besides wait till fall and you'll get some end of season deals.

BC,

If you can get on the Simms Pro deal, then its simply a toss up. Either one will do everything you need and want them to do. Just don't pony up for the G4Z waders. They're one heavy wader with that big 'ol zipper and 5-layer Gore up the body. I have the G3 Guides and they're great.

Not sure what you mean by "else wheres", but if you go through the Simms Pro program, as you know, you'll go direct or through John S.

Well I have other pro deals, but would rather get simms. So does the G4 have the gore along the whole body. Or just up to the hip. Wondering how heavy the G4 is compared to the G3. Guess Ill have to go into American Fly to get a more hands on approach to decide.

Thanks for all the help guys.

you mean the G4 and G4z have the 5 layer gore throughtout the leg waist and seat, and the G3 just the legs, not the waiste and seat.

On the way to the fly shop now to check them out. Also looked at simms.com, and i can see that the 5 layer goes up to the waist area. if the G4z r 51oz and the G3s r 45oz then that gives me an idea on the G4. I dont know about u but a zipper on waders Ill pass.
