Fished with some buddies this past weekend up to Hat Creek. Less people than the opener...where people will combat fish with you. I found action with the following bugs: beadhead PT's, Hogan S&M's, goldrib hare's ears, and even sucker pattern. Dries have been Stimulator, Adams, Elk Hair Caddis, and Brown Hackle Pea****. Most all fish were planters. Some of the dry takes seemed to be wild guys...or at least wilder. Overall fishing was pretty good with weather being cold in the mornings and about 60's in the afternoon. I'd recommend getting up there before the summer flurry. JW
