Fished Pyramid Lake this weekend, fishing was slower that reported. 10 fish all day between 2 of us, 9 cuts, 1 qui-wi. The last fish of the day was a monster though and my new personal best on a fly rod, 29 inch, 9 pounds, measured and weighed not a guess. Also fished a river on the way home and it was really good with dry flies all day. First time for me fishing in a snow storm!
Nice fish rich. So guessing that river you talked about on my cell phone was the river you hit. And guessing the usual go to drys was working well. Guess I might have to get up there asap. That cutty is a pig, and a beautiful fish too.

Yes, and no. The fly was an experimental pattern i tied the night before that did not look anything like the BWO's that were hatching but for some reason the fish were all over it.
The wind was down in the morning but in the afternoon a storm rolled in and it was blowing around 40-50 mph. We got shut down in one location and had to move to the other side of the lake.
Hey Rich looks like we are gonna have to get you on some steelhead now.
