I haven't been on the Yuba since November. Sounds like some are having good days reading the latest entries. This winter has not been good to me so its my first time out this year at all. Anyone have anything else as far as how its fishing?
There are a lot of good recommendations from the other thread that will get you fish. I got this tip from one of the guys from Specialties. It paid off. Many trout are keying in on salmon fry. A well placed fry pattern or bugger swung near the bottom will get you grabs. I got most of my fish on a size 10 light olive bugger, but I got one fish a Gummy Fry pattern. In the runs that I fished, I was using a 15 foot type 6 sink tip.
Now is the time to fish the Yuba, swing march brown wet nymphs in and around the rivers and shallower running water and shelfs. you think you have felt a take from a fish, think not, go get on the yuba and swing, its an eye opener. oh ya nothing less than 3x when swining.

Hey thanks for the technique suggestion Brian/Fellas! Fishing was slow overall Sunday but got a few takes. First time on the Yuba this year! Had a blast anyway!
