Anybody have any experience with thomas & thomas rods.  I am getting back into rod building and they have blanks readily available.  Pretty similar prices as the z-axis.  The finished rods on their website are sexy as hell, but that means little on the water.  Probably start with some cheaper st. croix but will later make the jump to nicer stuff once I get good.  Let me know.  Thanks.

I,ve been reading this form for about a long time, And i think your about the only other one that builds rods. I have done a few in my time...well more than a few. I WONTpay those high prices for rods if i can make my own. I have used T&T blanks in the past. If u have the money for those blanks go for it... I havent paid latly more than 75.oo blank and they are just as good....throw me a kite if u like...

CJ, I've been using a T&T 8 foot medium action 4 weight for a majority of fishing the last few years and I'll say its a great rod. It's more then great, Its like sweet fluid motion in ones hands, Its made for dryfly fishing and it's an amazing dryfly rod but also handles nymphs nicely. Steep price tag though, Mine set me back 800 bucks, put an abel on that badboy and you'll never need an upgrade in this lifetime.

Thanks guys.  Yeah at this point I am filling in some of the niche rod spots that I have been wanting for awhile and I'm not dropping 700 bones to do it.
