I knew this would eventually happen. What two river are open in the winter? Putah and Stan. San Lorenzo has NZMS, too. It had to spread to the Stan sooner or later. Bummer.

It's probably in all of the area rivers and creeks by now.  I don't think it's been confirmed in the Yuba or Feather Rivers yet, but it's got to be there, too.

Check this out; a perspective on actual NZMS size and their current infestation as known in the western states. Good grief!

Do you guys know how they actually got to north america ? I read an interesting article about how they were in a shipment of brown trout eggs from new zealand ? So the planting of one invasive species leads to yet another invasive species. Don't get me wrong, i love brown trout.
