Haven't seen any posts about anybody scoring some gear on Christmas. Just wondering if you've all been good boys and girls. Personally I got a nice fly box and a waterproof camera. Now I can prove to my wife that I actually catch fish.
Haven't got the license yet, neither did I get anything brand spanking new. But I did get a marvelous package in the post today from home. I had my brother bundle up all my fly tying gear and send it over. I didn't want to bring it with me on the plane as I figured that with so many random animal pelts, bird necks, and other animal parts they might be confiscated on the way through customs. I'm sure that on the customs form it says something about bringing meat/animal parts into the country. It would be an expensive confiscation!
My next stop is to figure out the main entomological characters of the waterways of California.

Fly fishing is so enjoyable, it should be done in bed.
The mom in law gets me my license and steelie card every year. Mrs. claus got me a new Ross flyrise for my 7 wt. and one of those cool simms water bottles with the brown trout painting on it. Pretty good Xmas.
