Well Me and a buddy were fishing the Napa River today and the fishing was horrible, Freezing outside which made for a goose egg. Came across this goose though which had 30lb mono rat nested and tangeled in her wings and around her neck with about a foot of the nest dragging behind her in the water. My buddy got me close enough to cast and I threw a Clouser minnow at the mono nest and hooked up and the fight was on! She couldn't fly cause of the mono but she kicked like hell!!! got her to the boat and picked her up and cut a ton of line off and then relesed her to fight another day.
Here's one: I was driving down 80 and exited the the american canyon rd; I saw a water turtle walking onto the freeway on ramp so I stopped, got out and grabbed the thing and took it to the rock quarry by the old cement factory on hwy 29. Parked and walked in to the quarry and released the thing-- when I let it go, it knew just what to do: dive, dive!! The last I saw of it was in about ten feet of water and still going down.... what a great feeling that was; thanks for the reminder! and you taking the time to rescue the duck renues my faith in people and it needs frequent renewal thanks
