CAL-Tip reporting

I have been working with DF&G Enforcement Division officers with respect to Putah Creek.  I am happy to say that the work which is being done by Putah Creek Trout and board members does not go unnoticed by the DF&G staff.

The enforcement division of DF&G is asking all people fishing Putah Creek to assist with being the eyes and ears for the area wardens.  We are being asked to promptly report any regulation violations  to CAL-Tip.  The CAL-Tip line is staffed by Enforcement Division personnel from DF&G.  They are further asking that photos be taken of poachers and their vehicles, identifying license plate numbers.  The wardens are particularly interersted in obtaining this information on any offenders repeatedly poaching.  The reports to CAL-Tip are one of the key items which will direct wardens to patrol a specific area where violations are occuring.  If you report it on the  Reporting Suspicious Activity Sticky with this board, it will be forwarded to CAL-Tip.  A direct report to CAL-Tip would be the optimum way to place the report as you can provide direct, accurate information to the personnel manning the line.

You can send all pics of offenders and their vehicles (license plate) to Bob or I and we will forward them on to CAL-Tip.

I think that doesn't come in effect until 2010.
