Going up to Donner this Thursday, THinking the water on top of the lake may be cold enough for some of the big boys to be crusing in the shallows? think it could be productive to wade or throw streemers from the bank? I have never tried this at donner. I know that the big Macks start showing up this time of year. Has anybody tried anything like this? Any tips, thoughts or ideas?

The water may be low enough to wade at the west shore of the lake. There is a drop off that is within casting distance. You might be able to hook into some Macks. You could have a shot at a Brown, too. Buggers and baitfish patterns should do the trick.
