If you go to the right spot right now, you might catch more than you can count, ranging from 6 inches to 16 inches, as I did from 5:00 to 7:00 last night.

JT special and a grey zebra midge were killing them.

If we get the regs passed for next year, perhaps the entire creek will reemerge as stellar.

Yukon Mike - if you read this, don't panic.  70% of the fish I caught were LDRs as with size 22-24 barbless hooks, one jump and the fish are gone.

I didn't see any garbage where I was fishing, which was nice.

For all the Putah noobs out there, if you catch and release a lot of fish, good for you; it's hard to find them but when you do, the action can be great.  I've been taking some pictures of smaller fish for our efforts in proving the sustainability of the wild trout fishery, but i usually just release the fish in the water by grabbing the line, sliding my hand down and sort of popping the hook out.

But sometimes you gotta get a picture or grab the fish to get your hook out - just be nice while you do it and if it's a huge struggle, cut your line.

I knew I was going to regret not getting out there with you. Great job!
