Going to fish the LT for only the second time on Friday.  Any general recommendations?  The first time we fished it in May or June (for a couple of hours), it was low and had a lot of algae.  We started at the dam and worked our way downstream.  We got skunked.  Without giving away your honey holes, is there a better general area to fish?  Flies?  Thanks in advance.

Not a lot of water running through the LT right now. It's going to be a tough fish. Might want to check out elsewhere if you are looking for some more action.

Thanks Jon.  I will check in with the hardware store in Truckee and see if they have any other ideas.  Maybe the Truckee River.  Thanks again.

A few of us ran into a Truckee guide during the cleanup a few weeks ago. He said he was fishing with Frank Pisciotta the wizard and they were hooking up on the Little T. Of course they are both guides in the Truckee area and could probably catch a fish in a puddle on the Litttle T, but give Joe Cerniglia a call 530-582-5393. He could probably point you in the right direction. Also several PCT people will be up there this weekend send me a PM and we could probably meet you somewhere up there. I don't know much about the area, but Bob could also catch a fish in a puddle as well.

Bernie,

You will be the guider of our light as we have decided to fish the LT on Friday.  We are going in at the middle meadow parking lot.  This will have us fishing the middle section of the river.  I'll be getting on the water around 2:30 PM.  I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Bob

Thanks guys.  I ended up fishing Hirshdale and got the skunk.  It was a great morning of fishing though.  I fished wife my, wife, which gave us a lot of laughs.  The problem is it makes it hard to focus on your own fishing when you are trying to teach someone else.  After about three hours, we both agreed that fly fishing is MY passion, not hers and next time she will stay behind.  Um, OK.  There sure is some fine water in the stretch.

I need Brian to guide me next time.

Mike

my guide(lol) advise for u would be to stay away hirshdale, it gets pounded. fish above floriston it gets really fishy this time of yr and fish it as far up as u want, a 4x4 vehicle will be nice to have to u can drive a good mile up or below floriston to the boarderd. cant fish farad yet, but if u know the dirt road exits right off 80 u can pretty much get anywhere with a 4x4 vehicle. thats all i am gonna say. said to much already.

Hey Brian,

While up in Truckee last weekend ( we had a PCT Board retreat with a bit of work being done!!!), I stopped by the Drunken Monkey and talked with Katie.  She said "Brian who" ?  I reminded her of all the work Rich and I did for you.  She said you were a loser, we wasted our time,  and that she was really going for us?????  Ca n you fill me in here?

Bob
