Attached is a photo of a photarium. The fish remains in water for photos. The photos are being used by Cramer Fish Sciences to identify trout, salmon and steelhead on the Stanislaus.
I heard about this, Pretty cool. They take a photo of the fish then enter the photo into a database then hopefully the fish is caught again and since every trout has a unique spot pattern they keep for life the photos can be compared and info. gathered about movements. The more I learn about trout the more i know they do move around alot.

Yes the shown Photarium is kinda small. I think Clark is probably building a newer bigger version. Part of his job is to go out and catch fish and take pictures of them. The second photo is Clark taking a pic on top of the fishes head. As Dr Bombay said they enter the data into a database to identify the fish by their spots. Pretty cool job. Cramer Fish Sciences has a cool underwater video of the fish on the Stan. If you find it, keep it quiet.
