The girlfriend and I are going to Donner for the weekend with her classmates. She has not been fishing since she was a kid and I need to assure her the $40 she spent on her fishing license this year will not be a waste! Have you guys fished Donner creek? From what I am reading online, it looks like bait fishing is allowed, which is necessary!

Any additional info on this creek and/or other creeks in the area would be appreciated. I've not been able to get on the water since spring and am itching to get a line wet!

Thanks

Kyle

Donner Creek is open to bait fishing.  From what I remember, the best fishing is below the dam.  I don't remember it fishing much when you get down to Truckee.
There is also Coldstream Creek in that area as well.

donner creek doesnt fish great anymore, the do plant donner though. if u want to have her bait for go to boca and fish with power bait at the damn, she will get into some nice koks there, same with stampede. but best bet with bait is going to be boca, to get there take 80 to hirshdale, once u take that exit go to the T and take a left, follow that around, then over the truckee river, then some railroad tracks then up a lil hill, at the top will be boca dam, there is parkin on the left hand side of the road, just park there and walk down, water isnt to low right now, so shouldnt be to long of a walk. she will catch fish and have a blast. this would be the best place to take her for bait fishin.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. Boca Dam sounds like a good place. I think we might hit that up.

I must admit that that is one amazing insight. It surely gives a company the opportunity to get in on the ground floor and also really take part in creating something special and tailored to their needs. win 79

If running proves to be a problem then it may be wise to find alternative exercises such as circuit training, weight training, swimming or cycling. m88vin.pics
