Fished Putah for the first time today.  Beautiful and fun place to fish.  Didn't see anybody else out there. I have no idea where the good spots are so I spent a lot of the day exploring.  Caught a lot of fish but most were under 6 inches.  Here's a pic of my biggest one.  Impressive huh?

Well, I'm sure I'll be out there a lot from now on and I just wanted to join the discussions.

-Tyler

p.s. I will freely take any suggestions/help/advice on where to fish.

Nicely done and welcome to the forums!

Most folks don't catch anything at all their first day on Putah. That's a really nice fish you have there.

ditto Vince's comments!  Congratulations and welcome ... if you haven't already, please remember to fill out the Putah Creek Angler Survey, available online thru the link above.

Lots of stuff going on behind the scenes to preserve the creek and the fishery in it!

Sounds like you had a rockin' first time out!  In this case ... size DOES matter ... ALL sizes wink!  The diversity and sustainability of the fishery is undergoing a great deal of scientific scrutiny at this time ... your experience means a lot, and feedback is appreciated !

Cheers and Welcome!
Ed.

Thanks for the welcome.  I will definitely do my part to keep Putah a healthy fishery.

Yeah welcome and well done. I am new to the game but six on a day is better than I have ever done on the creek.

Anyway hope to see you out there some day.
