Vince put his best dance steps to use on the North Fork Yuba yesterday.  It is not on the newsracks yet.   Fortunately, I was able to get this new step on film!!!  Needless to say, he is a liitle more damp in the second picture.

Great photos!

Rubber is about 80% as grippy as felt I've found. On moss they are fine, but silty rocks... trouble. Packrat saw me nearly take a ride. Time to buy some studs!

Vince,

Studs will help! Simms new StreamTread by Vibram works well, but should still be used with studs in my opinion. The industry is heading in that direction. Eventually, no more new felt soles. Trying to slow the introduction, and eliminate, aquatic nuisance species (ANS).

Be careful, dude.

I have korker guide boots. The ones with the removable soles. One of the soles I have are the "kling-on" (think Vibram) with studs. Even w/ the studs, I think felt is better. I took them on one trip to the Yuba and did a lot of slipping. Not fun.

Vince attempted a shimmy in tha Bar of America, but there was no music that evening.  I caught his best dance step on the NF Yuba.  The fish were cetainly the smallest of the trip, but what a pretty river . . . awesome.  I'm going to be taking the wife up there fishing on July 11-12 weekend. Any other couple who might want to make it a foursome for the weekend?  Could be a great time, decent restaurant, reasonable lodging, beatiful views . . . ??????

Now, now, let's not get snarky when you didn't see what happened...

Cheers,
