Had a fun day, although quite hot. The long and the short of it is,I had a few firsts. 1: I caught my first fish at Putah this year. 2: I caught my first fish on a fly I tied myself. 3: I caught the smallest trout of my fishing career.
Summary: I caught one fish, very small( the most beautiful fish I've ever seen, well, the only fish I've seen in months, but beautiful), but my faith has been restored, and my tying endeavors have been validated. Flows were 550ish, nice clarity, no hatches to speak of.

1st fish on a fly you tied is very cool. You should save it...I managed to keep the 1st dry fly I caught a fish on out of the trees and get it home. I stuck it in the lampshade on my desk...every time I see it I have to smile...-Mike
