A film I've been wanting to see and have read much about will be playing in Yountville( about ten minutes north of Napa). Tickets are $7.00. It also mentioned several local fishing groups will be participating. Steve, if PCT isn't involved already,I thought you might be able to piggyback and we could all hopefully get more like-minded people to join the fight. Hope to see you all there, Toby

Oh that totally sucks for me as I will be up in the Hat Creek area for 4 days with my boys fishing and hiking.I'm sure some of the PCT folks may want to take a drive and see this film. Is it only running one night or multiple? Thanks for the heads up Tippet! Greg

Whenever it's playing you should go see it.  Saw it a few weeks ago and I highly recommend it.  It's a pretty moving story if you have done any coastal steelheading here in Cali.

Looks like the link i posted isnt working. I know it mentioned you can buy them at Sweeney's in Napa, .
The public is invited to attend the outdoor showing and Napa premiere of Rivers of a Lost Coast, a documentary about flyfishing in northern California, and how it has changed in the past 60 years.

The showing will be on the lawn at Napa Valley Museum at 7:30 p.m., June 27. Tickets are $7 for adults (12 and older) and children are free. Proceeds benefit the film, the Napa County Resource Conservation District and the Napa Valley Museum.
Tickets are being sold at the RCD office, Sweeney’s Sports Store and the Napa Valley Museum. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own blanket.

Refreshments will be offered and there will be exhibits from local fishing and river groups.
For a preview of the film, go to www.riversofalostcoast.com.

Palmer Taylor, co-filmmaker, will be the special guest.
For more information, call 252-4188, ext. 120 or e-mail frances@

Hey Everyone- Richard's s.o. Sarah here-- we just wanted to PROMOTE the movie "Rivers of a Lost Coast", which we saw yesterday in Jenner since the showing in Napa is on our wedding day! The movie was, in two words, amazing and powerful.....it really educated us about the history of California fly fishing and the sudden decline of the fish population and touched on the myriad of environmental and big business factors which are, in large part, causing that problem....wow. We are both now wanting to be a part of the solution and do some activism to do our part! A list of possible actions for interested parties (which we got from the speakers after the film) will follow after people have seen it next Saturday.

But seriously-- GO SEE IT- it's really well done! And for a good cause too--
