Rich's worry about food situations has caused me to get important trip details out to you!!!! First of all, the house address is 601 White Fir, Truckee. The house is in Northstar. Take the HWY 267 exit from I-80 and head towards King's Beach. Turn right onto Northstar Drive at the Northstar resort entrance. On Northstar Drive, turn right onto Basque Drive. You'll pass the point where the golf course crosses Basque Drive. About a 1/4 mile past this point, turn left onto White Fir. The house will be the second house on the right. Phone number at the house is 530-562-8784. There is an answering machine with a funky generic message if no one is home.
I will try to always leave the door into the downstairs living room open so there will be access to the house if no one is around. I am planning to get up into Truckee by the early afternoon on Wednesday and am staying until Sunday. Please come and go as your schedules permit. If I could get an idea of when people are planningon arriving and leaving, that would be great. As Rich was wondering, I don't know what people want to do for food. We can always just play it by ear. There are plenty of restaurants in the Northstar Village, and the Blue Coyote Sports Bar is close with reasonably priced food. We have a nice deck with a large Barbeque ready to go as well. Whatever works is great with me.
Remember, the best opportunity for a good bed is early arrival or lots of whining!
Bob, myself and Vince are coming up together early Thursday morning so we will probably be on the water around noon or so. Then we're leaving Sunday with everyone else. My friend is not sure when he will be able to come up if at all but I'll give him the directions and have him keep in touch with me with his plans. We can do whatever we decide for food when we're all there because it sounds like we will have a different number of guys each day. I'll plan on bringing a cooler that we can load up each day with beer and save a little room for food
ill be up bright and early weds to get some early fishing in before the crowd. bob i guess u and me can get some details on when we can meet up. as far as food, what ever is clever, i do know i have to carry more with me while out than most others do to my Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar). so i do a bunch of power bars, and normally 3 sandwiches per day with a few power aids or gateraids. i am all for chipping in or me just buying my own and everyone else chip in for their stuff. just wanna make sure i am covered dont need to push myself to hard then pass out.
cant wait just got all my flys in and they look great. big trout killers.

Its up in the air when I'll be up, Hopefully thursday afternoon or evening but worst case is early friday morning. Depending when I get there if nobody is home ill either wait around and drink some brewskies or go fishing. Maybe we could make a time to meet up at the house before dinner in case were all over the place since it sounds like we'll all be getting around at different times, Just a thought. As for food, I'm pretty flexible, whatever works for you guys. I had to reregister becuase for whatever reason the site won't take my old password anymore.
anyone going up bright and early on weds and want to get some fishing in. u can car pool with me or just meet me up there. just let me know. hey alex what days are you going. figured we could car pool since u dont live that far from me.

Man i can't wait !!! Screw work, I'm callin in on thursday, My boss is out of town . Packrat how big is that fly ? I have a green turkey biot concoction thats in the early stages of development, Might be ready to try out this weekend. Any advice on patterns ? I think I have most everything covered except the stones. Any thoughts on were we might be fishing thursday ? Hell I just might be there beatin on the door to wake you all up. Truckee run #1 I didn't fair to well, This time i got redemtion on my mind ! See ya all up there, Gonna be epic !
Good question???!!!! I have Friday tentatively pencilled in for the MF Feather. Flows on the lT are up a little, Prosser has a good flow going and the Truckee looks great!!!!! Where do you want to fish?
I hear they do that when you go over 1300 posts?!!!!! 35 hours till river time! FYI the weather is sopposed to be 70-75 degrees with some thundershowers. A rainshell may not be a bad idea. When I was up on Memorial Day, there was a hellacious T-storm that hit Truckee. Large hail, lightning, etc. . Bob

Shaun, if you want you can ride up with me. I'm going to also be picking up Vince in Davis on the way up. I've got plenty of room since my buddy probably isn't coming up until Friday (if at all). The secret pattern is tied on a "customized" #12 dry fly hook. For flies I'm bringing the tried and true, PT's, birds nest, rubber leg hares ears, parachute adams, drowned midge, RS2, soft hackles, BWO's, monster articulated flies for night browns, etc......
Mountain Hardware (ACE) in Truckee has a great fly fishing selection believe it or not. We can stop there. Reno fly shop is another good one but a little out of the way.
Truckee River Outfitters is not open again this year, so it's Mountain Hardware or bust. They're the only ones open, and yes they do have a very good fly selection.
ill be up there bright and early with ac22 trying out a few spots. hey bob when will u be at the cabin so me and alex can meet u there. dont know where we will fish yet, probably thinking truckee near hirshdale bridge. not 100 percent sure. anyways just let me know what time u are thinking u will be at the cabin and we will be there.
as far as food, ill be bringing bread and sandwich meats for me due to my health condition, just want to make sure that i am covered for food hate to not have enough in the am having 3-4 sandwiches a day is very well needed for this still growing boy. as far as breakfast and what not we can figure out that stuff when we get there.

I can get to the house at about 12:30-1:00, or just meet you on the river. We'll be the only ones up there tommorrow, so we don't have to worry about leaving people hanging.
We could either meet at the place or figure 1:00 at Glenshire Bridge fishing access (not Hirschdale). It'll be easier to find each other at Glenshire and the fishing is very good at Glenshire as well.
that will work call it 1pm at glenshire. ill be in my little 2dr mitz mirage. it will be me and alex. somewhere around fishing. if not just waiting. see ya there. we will fish the hirshdale area in the am then shoot over there aroudn 12 or so. see ya then

For the others coming up, the way to contact us will either be by Truckee home phone (530-562-8784) or cell (510-717-8201). I'm sure the home phone during the evenings will be best as cell coverage on the river is iffy.
I will not be accessing a computer while up there and am not a Blackberry or Iphone guy.
is that the second most annoying sound in the world. this trip is going to be insane. i can just see it now. i remember last time on the balcony we had some special shaun green and we was all crackin up at absolutley nothing. thats what u call priceless.
TIME TO MAKE SOME NEW PRICELESS MEMORIES.
oh ya, ILL BE FREE BALLIN IT THIS TIME GUYS. LMAO

Special green I have no idea what you are talking about Brian. Hey Vince, I'm in the same boat, The tying has been very slow lately, Mountain hardware stop may be needed. I should be there around 9 or 10 a.m on thursday, If you guys head out earlier for the day can you maybe leave a note with some basic directions so I can find you guys ? Anybody wet wading this time ? Supposed to be pretty warm this weekend.
