June Truckee Check-in
Permalink

It is only a month away for the Truckee run.  I am heading up for an exploratory run this weekend.  I will hit all new entertainment establishments to ensure we don't miss a new one worth visiting!

I want to confirm those who had wanted to go . . . Brian Clemens, Shawn, Rich (2), Cliff, AC22, Steve, James ( if your anniversary has been postponed!!!)  and Lil Whippersnapper.  Please confirm with me to finalize.  We might have one more slot open if someone is interested.  Dates are Wednesday, June 17th through Sunday, June 21st.  Come and go as you need.  Not necessary to stay the entire time.  This is the BEST time of year to fish the Tahoe area!!!!  The Truckee, LT and Prosser are all 1o-15 minutes from the door.  THe MF Feather, NF Yuba are 1 hour.  East Walker is 2 1/2 hours.  East Carson about 1 1/2 hours.  A great time is guaranteed.  In event of another Brain Clemens wardrobe malfunction, you may have to sacrifice one pair of underwear of his desire.

Bob

Checking In Sir and looking forward to it. Fortunately for me, Brian couldn't get my undies past his knees without hobbling himself.

I'm in +1! My buddy might just fish Thursday and Friday and bail but I'll be there late Thursday morning as well and staying until Sunday. We should come up with a location to met on Thursday mid day. Bob, I was actually thinking about making a run over to Nelson creek on the Middle Fork Feather, do you think that's about 1 1/2 hours from Truckee or longer? This will be my first fishing this year and I'm really looking forward to it...unless I can get out before then!

Rich

Shaun, my buddy might drive up himself so he can leave early, maybe we could go up together again if we're planning on leaving at the same time?

Nelson Creek would be somewhere around 1 1/2 hours away.  We can figure out a meet-up, I like your idea about where you're going Thursday.

If there is a slot open I'd love to come - but I'd have to carpool (I can alternate driving, I just don't have a car). Does anyone leaving/driving through Davis have an extra seat?

If Bob's got an opening for you and you can leave Thursday morning I've got plenty of room.

Brian,

You will impress none of us with your body, have some fun!  But, the opportunity to have yet another DD is too good to be true!!!!!!

I will be getting up on Wednesday afternoon/ early evening. Perhaps I can cut out a little early and we can meet up on the river Wednesday?

You're listening to crappy sources of information if someone is telling you that beer is bad for you.  I'd drop that friend like a stone, what a loser.  I mean look at what goes on when you suck down a beer . . . you're pouring naturally fermanted hops and grains into your body.  What could be better?

Bob,

I'd have to agree with you. Actually, I don't drink much beer throughout the week, but every time I get back from fly fishing I get the craving. Anyone ever try Racer 5? Damn strong yeasty/hoppy beer.

The Little Truckee is always cold since it comes out of the bottom of Stampede Res, low 50's maybe. The Big Truckee should be high 50's to low 60's......

For those of us adults, the important streamside tempurature at the Blue Coyote, all tap beer is poured at 55 degrees. Seriously, the main Truckee, middle fork Feater and NF Yuba should be in perfect shape by then. The Truckee was coming into good shape Memorial Day and will only be better.
