Camping Suggestions?

I was thinking about going camping next weekend with some friends and want to get the line wet. We were going to camp Burney Falls but its all filled up. Anyone have any suggestions of good places to camp and fish? Im coming from Davis. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Brent

Jenkinson lake( also known as Sly Park) near Pollack Pines is a nice lake, rents boats, and a short drive from some decent water. Never fly fished there though.

Dispersed camping on national forest land, BLM land, Or a wilderness area. Don't need no stinkin campground.

I agree with Shon.

If you "have" to have a campground of such, you could try the hot springs at Big Bend on the Pit river.  Aside from that, just find a place off the beaten path to camp.  Crowds out in the sticks are no fun anyway.

If you head East instead of up by Redding, there are a lot of places to camp on/near the Carson.  For something different if you have a 4wd you could try the Barney Riley trail.
