Was at the creek yesterday for a few hours picking up trash and fishing. I found lots of fun stuff: big red ball with a garden hose anchored to it, a beach ball, a tennis ball, 2 float mats, an uneaten lunch with a baggie in it that contained a lighter and a cigar, plastic cups, water bottles, plastic ziploc baggies, and the ever present beer can. All in all a pretty big catch--enough to fill my trunk. And oh yeah, I caught a fish or two as well.

In fact, I'm going to throw down the gauntlet here. If anyone thinks they can pick more garbage than me then bring it on! Just post pix of your haul and we'll compare.

OK, Ladies and Gentlemen, PCT will donate one of our nifty limited edition caps to whomever Emerger deems the Champion Trash Collector (sorry, Cliff, you and your family, distant relatives, and some casual aquaintances are excluded). The picture must include PC or other recognizable landmark to be considered.

Also, you must also dispose of the trash properlybiggrin. We will pick a new winner every month.

A half burnt couch from access #5......hauled it all the way down to  the launch at the camp grounds on a pontoon boat...that thing was so water logged it weighed a ton.

hey mx19, arent u the president of the trash talkin club, that would mean u are excluded from the compatition. and same with dtp916, he is the vice pres, he doesnt count either. lol.

first 6 months not to many, but the second 6 months i put up a few. i was fishing a lot to.

I disagree, MX19 should be allowed in the competition.  In the early handicapping of who can take out more garbage between the two of you, I see two important factors in determining odds:

A.  Brian is the young buck, lots of energy and determination.
B.  Sadly, Brian has a past history of wardrobe malfunctions which could hinder performance significantly and tip results into MX!9's favor.

Therefor, the handicapper has established MX19 as an early 8:5 favorite.  Place your bets at the window now.

I propose payup time to be at the wine tasting fundraiser for PCT coming up shortly.

well for this challange i will be running the garbage day pick up challange nude. so i will not have any malfuntioning clothing. so there will be no hinderance occuring during the competition.

Though I would enjoy showing up some of these young guys with my trash collecting skills Iam going to sit this one out.I would never claim my self as the king of putah creek, but I might be in the running for king of putah trash....After all I do have 4 costco size boxes of trash bags hidden in different parts of the creek ...
     brian please keep your clothes on...Last thing anyone want to see is you in a set of rubber hip waders and a fanny pack standing in some ones favorite hole....

Rgloft has pm'd me with an entry in the "trash the trash" competition. Here is what he found:

"i went fishing on the creek today and read the thread on the trash competition last night. so when i saw all the trash i just started picking it up then found a sheet so i started pilling it in there then found some ice bags and used them to put more trash in well you get the idea i ended up with a pile"

Unless any of you other guys decide to enter rgloft is going to take the prize. Remember, I'm willing to pay your way on Bono's & MX19's Putah class... that's a $50 value.

Since rgloft didn't provide any pix of his trash that he collected any of you guys could still take this. Who's in it to win it?

I've changed my mind. Rgloft will need to produce a pic of the trash he has picked with putah in the background to be entered into the running for the prize. Fair is fair, and them is the rules.

Let me know if anyone needs help posting their pics and I'll give you a hand.
