I took a forward fall as I was clambering up to shore around #5, just enough to kneel and get a dose of Putah's icy goodness down the front of my waders.Well that wasn't so bad in and of itself, but it shocked me so much I instinctivly headed for dry land, slipped, and fell backwards back into the creek and really checked the temp. Still cold!

Never worn waders unless there is snow around. It is just so common for one to fall on the McCloud and sac rivers. To me the water is only really cold for the first minute or two, after that you are used to it (for the sac and McCloud most of the year).
