Putah Creek Trout has put together a flyer promoting the organization and it's goals. Cliff Scorso (Emerger) put together the flyer and got it produced. It is a first class flyer to say the least. Cliff must be thanked for the work and efforts he put into this brochure. It was distributed at The Fly Fishing Show in Pleasanton and is currenlt in several fly shops including Fish First (Albany), Leland and Orvis (San Francisco). The goal is to get the word out and build the organiztion. Gary and Steve have put a bunch of work and effort into the organization to get it going.
I have inserted a scan of the flyer below so you can view it for yourselves. I'm sure it will be small and impossible to read, but you can get the idea. We really have a chance to make a difference here, I encourage board participants to join in the efforts of this organization. More hands will get more accomplished.
I might be speaking out of school here, but I know Gary and Steve could use a few more hands in getting these brochures distributed to all area fly shops . . . hint, hint, hint.
Thanks Bob and yes, we can use help distributing them to your local shops. Just send an email to putahcreektrout@gmail.com and we'll send some your way.
The real thanks goes to Bob for being so generous and paying the printing bill. Bob also drove all over the Bay Area to make sure those brochures arrived at the show. You're one hell of a guy. Thanks.
A very BIG thanks to all of you guys for all of your hard work in putting this thing together, this is the first time I've seen the actual flyer itself and all I can say is WOW, Cliff you really know your stuff!! I'm looking forward to getting some of these in the hands of all of my clients and contacts asap. Thanks again Bono.
That is one hell of a nice flyer....straight-up magazine quality if you ask me. This flyer will make a great first impression for PCT. Great work Cliff.
It looks great, I wish My computer would let me read what it says. I will have to track one down. Has anyone tried creative sports? I live near it and am there at least once a week. I would ask if they would allow them in. I would also like to give a hand with the project but I am also concerned with too much publicity if we aren't shooting for barbless and 100% catch and release. I may be off the boat if that is already being pushed for. I hope it is. It doesn't seem we could sustain a fish population that is not going to be replaced with planters if there isn't a zero limit. I am sure you guys are steering the creek in the right direction and if you are I would be glad to help with whatever I can. Sorry for rambling it must be the fever thats had me all week and or no fishing for a week.
As of friday I didnt see any flyers in creative sports. I'd be happy to drop some off if they were mailed to me, I'm sure the owner would be all for it. Seems like a pretty popular flyshop among board members.
