I am beginning tp lan a Truckee run for 2009. I was thinking of the weekend of June 19, 20,21. This will be prime fishing time in the Truckee area. Assuming Rich, Shawn and Brian want to go once again, there is room for another 4-5 people who would like to go. The house has plenty of room. If someone else is intersted as well, let me know and I'll start firming some plans. We look to continue the good times of last year. Please bring appropriate underwear this year Brian. The LT, Truckee, Middle Fork Feather and a couple of secrets are all close by.
you can count me in as well. this time i wont bring any underwear. hahaha. so no chaffing this time around. AND I GOT THE FIRST ROUND.

we'll have to secure a larger table at the Blue Coyote this year! Also, we'll have another hour or so to fish in the evening this year, as that weekend is solstice. This is typically a killer time in the Tahoe area for fly fishing. I'll plan to head up that Thursday afternoon.
Hey Bob, I have a buddy who would be interested in joining us. I have not said anything to him yet so if you want to keep it strictly to board members it's totally understood. I could probably swing Thursday too.
ill arm wrestle you for it shaun. just playin buddy, this should be some good times. ya it will be almost 16hrs of sunlight that weekend. which will be awsome. hopefully the peruvian waitress will be there again. man i cant wait.

No problem bringing a friend up . . . I just didn't know you had any besides us!!!!!! Great you can make it Thursday as well. We can probably fit one more person in beds after this, then it's floor space and maybe room on a couch.
ill do my best to do thursday as well. i guess call it a mini vacation for me. cant take to many days of though, gonna be home (new york) from begining of aug to my bday sept 18th, sis is gettin married sept 12, and the family is camping on the st lawrence river mid aug so cant miss any of that. but i will for sure be there for the full weekend as well.
see you all up there if i dont see you before hand.

Yeah, Room for one more AOK. If it get's packed, Brian said he'll share one of the queen size beds ( there are 3)! There are a couple of big overstuffed couches, so no worries there.
We'll get all of the details firmed out in the next couple of months. As I said, there are a number of good spots to hit. The Truckee is 10 minutes away in downtown Truckee, where there really is some good fishing believe it or not. The LT and Lower Truckee are 20 minutes away, Middle Fork Feather about 45 minutes, Salmon Creek and NF Yuba 1 hour away, Sagehen and Upper Prosser about 20 minutes. Heck, the East Walker is about a 2 1/2 hour drive.

I would guess we'll be fishing pretty late in the evening at this time of year. Dinner at the Blue Coyote would probably be an easy way to go for late dinner, not to mention the opportunity to brush up on world geography with the Peruvian waitress. I found that my knowlege of the southern hemisphere was a little weak and needs further education.
I can only imagine what she was thinking last year, as she was talking with us and watching Brian scratching his chafed thighs.
yup thats for sure i love being single, can go fishing when ever i want and not have to hear a word when i get home. oh ya ill be out there tomorrow nailing some steelhead.
hey oneweight it wasnt my chaffed thighs she was smiling at but something else........
either way its gonna be a blast. i know shaun will bring up some stuff, ill have some as well. that was a fun night on the porch. can only imagine what your neighbors though oneweight.

Slightly off topic but if you're interested Trout Unlimited On the Rise is doing a show on the Truckee and Little Truckee this coming Saturday 2/21 on the Outdoor Channel at 12:30. They did a show last week on the McCloud. Never knew how pretty a river it is. To bad we have to worry about water bottling plants along with everything else.
Also, the Blue Coyote is a great place. I remember going in there about 5 minutes before closing. Told the waitress (not Peruvian unfortunately) that I drank alot and tipped well. I was true to my word.
