Duck season is over.  I fished the creek for the first time this year today.  It was relatively slow in the bridge area.  I took several nice fish to hand in about 4 hours total.  IMO there seemed to be a few fish scattered here and there in kind of a post spawn funk.  The two 'hot' fish I hooked escaped before I could get a look.  My luck came in the deeper areas.

Tie the fly.  Drift the fly.  Catch the trout.  Repeat.

I didn't have much luck myself on staurday. Today may be better with the overcast skies, We shall just have to go and see i guess.

man i miss putah. havent fished that place since mid dec last yr just cuz the steelies are keeping me hostage. maybe ill get out there soon. but steelies are in full bloom.

we have really been gettin into some nice fat healthy steelies. got my best on weds 13lbs just shy of 32"s average fish for me and my buddies are the 24"ers ranging 4-6lbs with many pushing and even exceding the 30" bracket.

Everyone knows where you are fishing Brian.  Jt said he hasn't seen you land a fish all season.  Just kidding Brian tight lines.  Please don't post any pictures for a few months.

trust me i wont post any pics, unless jt says i can. we have been getting into some really nice steelies. chuck, jt and myself was out today got half a day and all landed 1 wild fish each, with several other hook ups as well. cant wait for this next front to roll through.
