Attached is a schematic of a trout redd with eggs and fry as one would expect to find on PC. Fry from this years spawn are starting to appear already, so please watch your step and avoid wading into any areas where sand or gravel has been swept free of moss, twigs, etc. This includes areas as small as 12" in diameter and starts from the edge of the bank out to the middle. We have seen fish spawning in as little as 12" of water; they may also be spawning in water too deep to see the redds.

This is a critical period for the survival of this years crop of new fish. We recommend that you avoid wading whenever possible, either while moving along the creek, or while fishing.
