For those who have fished the creek in the last week or so, how's the action? Are you seeing the size and quantity of fish in the system that is typical at this time of year? Any info about flies and techniques you've been using would also be appreciated.
I have fished for half days twice over the last two weeks. For me, action was pretty slow. Mostly nymphing with small, green nymphs (WD-40, S&M nymph, Micro Mays, etc.) I did get a fish off of the top on dries each time though, using a pattern I like to use on the Truckee that is a brown caddis pattern.
Water has been very clear, conditions pretty good. i have not noticed any footballs moving through the system yet.
