Has anyone built a pram before? Something I have wanted to do for awhile now. There are tons of plans on line but I'm not sure where to start. This sort of piggy backs on the tube versus pontoon question. I have a tube already and thought about getting a pontoon but I want one I can stand in that has a lean bar. Most of those start at 1000 bucks and I could build a fishing pram for 300$. Any recomendations would be cool.
Haha.. what a coincidence. Im heading up to Portland to get my boat kit and im going to do a little fishing up there. There are two guys up there, ray and cyrus, who build boats and boat kits for a living. They make great boats but they run a little higher than you were looking for. They sell two sizes of prams, 8' and 10' that run a little over $1000 for the boat kits but are twice that for the boat made. These guys are great and i highly recommend them. http://raysriverdories.com/riverboating_PramSpecs.html
