Ive gotten out a couple times this season, few birds here and there, was just currious how everyone has been doin thus far this year.  Hopefully the weather this weekend will push some birds down.  Nothing like hunting in the morning, and swinging the fly in the afternoon.

Cast and Blast!

If you hunt for Wood Duck and Mallard, save the flank feathers. You can tie countless amounts of WD40s and other flies.  If you have any Wood Duck to spare, I can use some.

I generally always have some feathers to spare, I actually hunt a place that has some greate mallard and wood duck shooting, AB shoot me a PM with some info and hopefully after the next couple of weeks I can send you some feathers.  Cinnamon teal feathers are also great for tying up a rather "special" march brown nymphs

Drifter,
Thanks much. I go through a lot of wood duck flank feathers. I'm just about out of the last bunch of wood duck feathers that I got from a friend. In the fly shops, a package of 12 wood duck flank feathers cost $3.95.

I dont use wood duck feathers much, what a rip-off!  I actually just started tying not to long ago, so I havn't got to experience messing around with all of the different types of duck feathers yet.
