Can anybody give me some information as to why PG&E would do all their work and schedule it for September and October? These are two of the prime fishing months and now they are saying that the water is so muddy that we might not be able to get in there to fish it before it closes on 11/15. This makes no sense. Also why is it taking so fricking long for the work to be performed? Please tell me why one of my favorite rivers got so screwed up by PG&E!!!!!!
Hey guys I cannot tell you why they are doing it for sure, but that has been going on since June. We took our yearly fishing trip up to Dunsmuir in June and it was high then as well because of PG&E. I would check in at the Ted Fay fly shop in Dunsmuir and talk to Bob or old Joe, they are very helpful and know about all rivers in that area.
Yeah good call Shon he will tell you about 1 of his favorite spots to fly fish, upper McCloud above upper falls. We fished there this summer, caught a bunch of little browns, rainbows and brookies 4-8 inches, good times man.
