Hey everyone, I am new to the area and have been reading up on Putah through this forum. You guys turned me on to Sweeney's. Great place with helpful people, plenty of flies, tackle, and advice. I'm lucky enough to be on afternoon shift at work for now, so I've been able to get on the water a couple of mornings this week. ( off work by 12am, asleep by 2am, fishing by 7am, home for a quick nap by 11, at work by 2pm...and repeat!) I live in fairfield/suisun area so the drive is about 30 min. and well worth it. Anyways, I've caught a couple of planters (released) by the bridge so far, but now am exploring some of the options downstream. Haven't been able to land any natives yet, but looking forward to it. I just want to say that Putah is unbelievably beautiful and only gets better as I get deeper in. Which I had an opprotunity to do today. (a fish broke the line above the indicator and I spent half my time chasing the fish and indicator down the river. Got it back but the fish took my bottom fly.) I'm from the Midwest and the only rivers close to this are state trout parks that are stocked. So far, everyone has been very nice and friendly. I look forward to sharing the river and experiences with this community.
I stopped to pick up some surveys to take home and fill out. Where can I find the online survey?
I'll see you on the water. I'll be the one with the green cardinals hat and a black car, -DTC
Welcome aboard Mr Newcomer , the online survey is on this website thanks for asking and be sure to fill one out every time you fish the creek. Good luck with you're new explorations of the mighty Putah! Bono
