easy acces for trout

My grandparents are coming down for a week and want to fish were looking for easy access places not to worried about a long drive anywhere within 5 hours if anyone has sugestions i greatly appreciate it.....like i said acess is most important difficulty of fishing isnt a problem.

If they are after trout on flies, the East Carson is easy access along route 88 past Kirkwood.  (3.5-4.5 hours from SF).  Easy bank fishing access, but the fish may not always be easy.

If it is trout by bait, you have lots of choices.   Livermore has several good lakes with lunkers as does the hwy 49 corridir (ie. Lake Amador)

you could take a drive up to hat creek ranch .most of the fish are well over 20"...its flat and you could either fish from the totally flat backs or float it..the 2 ponds are very very close to the parking lot and picnic tables...the fish will eat buggers and other streamers big or small sizes as well as a small nymph slowly stripped in....

If you offer more info mabe we could help find you a perfect spot...

Thank for all the info guys i really appreciate it unfortunately ive torn a ligament in my knee and wont be able to fish with them. But i will defiantely take them to a few of thee spots....thansk for the reccomendations and i wish the best of luck to all of you on the water.
