Hi all, Just found this forum. I just moved to Davis (to finish my Ph.D. at UCD) last year but have not been able to wet a hook since then due to my research obligations down in Panama for the past 8 months.
I don't want to get in anyone else's way on the creek, but I'm wondering if there are recommendations for good wading segments where I might be able to spend a couple of mornings next week getting my casting arm working again. Just looking to have a quiet couple of mornings to myself to catch and release a few fish.
Just looking to get in the loop again. Again, not looking to invade anyone's private beat on the river.
Best to all and thanks for all the information on the forum. Patrick

Most people aren't going to give up their favorite holes, but the area around the Highway 128 bridge is a good place to start. You can upstream or downstream of the bridge. Don't be afraid to explore. It can be crowded on the weekends, but during the week it should be fine in this area.

Thanks, everyone. That's exactly what I wanted to know. And, absolutely, I don't want anyone to give up their fishing holes. I had my own back in Georgia. Now I'm starting from the bottom. I'm happy to do it if I can get a little bit of fishing in.
Thanks again to everyone. I'll make my way down the bridge and just start exploring a bit.
Patrick
