Headed out for a 1hr and 30min drive up the dinkey creek and Wishon Res. First stop was at dinkey creek, it was just crowded but there was about 20 stock bow in one large pool.. the fish show no intres in eating there plus it was crowded. I figure that wishon would be better, so i went up to wishon. I spotted a brown feeding on top, so i tied on a size 18 Adams and made a switch cast becuse i had no room for a back cast. I made two small strips and saw the fish moved towards the fly. I stop striping the fly and then the brown slurp the adams right in, my next move was to set the hook. It gave a good fight.
Yeah, a Woodchuck Country brown! My uncle in Hanford keeps telling me to make time so we can hit some of his Sierra spots. Thanks again for sharing water east of Madera and Fresno--we often only read reports of water further north.
