Anyone been there?  My goal is to catch one of those littlewink Lahontan Cutties.  I am a little worried that the place is a madhouse.

It's a fun lake to fish.  It can get some pressure, but it's manageable.  With just about everyone being fly fishers, they give each other plenty of space.  I'll probably fish it in the middle of September.

i see you winking on the little part. ya they are not little in that lake. best bet is to float it. which more than likely you will be doing. i have been told that heenan lake can be great and it can be horrible. when are you thinking of hittin it up, i have been thinking of doing it soon as well. let me know.

Don't forget the special regs for Heenan.

Only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from the Friday before Labor Day through the last Sunday in October. Fishing hours: only from sunrise to sunset. Only artificial lures with barbless hooks may be used.
