Here we go!! The first group fly fishing float tubing trip down Lake Solano. I have no idea if this will work, but I think we should get together and have some fun. Campout at the lake solano campground. August 22-24 weekend or Sept 5-7 Weekend. Send pms with email addresses and maybe I will be able to set up something. I was thinking friday nite sat morning or sat nite sunday morning. Any other suggestions are welcome.
Hey Otter, I've been following this site for a long while and rarely respond but I would really like to meet some of you who know your stuff and since I have a tube, I would definitely like to make it to a camp and fish weekend. I have hooked into some big fish at Putah but rarely get them to the net---usually because the 6X tippet breaks even when I feel that I'm putting almosst zero pressure on the fish. So maybe you guys can give me some instruction on that. Anyway, I'll keep looking for information if you all get together and see if I can make it.
I'll be at oneweights truckee get together on the weekend of sept. 5th but i'll do aug. 22 to the 24th. Hell I can pretty much do any weekend. Campground gets full may wanna look into a reservation ? You thinking take a few vehicles down to the diversion dam so we can shuttle back up and do it again ? Lookin forward to it.
Sounds like a blast guys, can't make it myself so have one for me. However, I still have a couple of beds open for Truckee on the September weekend. You might have to settle for a comfortable couch, It's a large house though so there's plenty of room. If you're interested, get back to me via PM and I'll get you down. First come, first serve.
I have a chance to go fish the homewaters for five days. Can't miss that for anything really, but have fun out there. Last big trip before steelhead season starts. Find out if there's any brownies left in there. Good luck.
i will be up at the truckee cabin fever event as well, but i could possible make it on the 22-24, i wouldnt camp out though i would just come for the day. or 2, i am only 45 mins from putah so driving wont be to much of an issue, but if i can camp out i will let you know he shaun we can bunk up again right. no shotguns or pistols this time though. hahaha.

I am heading out to Putah tomorrow to pre fish the area, and check on a few other areas. It has been crazy at work, so it will be fun to go exploring. If anyone is heading out tomorrow let me know.
Well I fished the area below the split with Emerger yesterday, and the only thing I have to say is that it sucks. The area used to have some good spots, but it seems it has been filled in with silt. There is no need to have a campout there. Plus the campground said they fill up quickly on Thursday due to closures of campgrounds on Berryessa. The only good thing is that many of the other Cali rivers and creeks will be producing in September!!! DTP said it best isonychia and october caddis!! Big bugs = big flies = big fish!!!
