Finally got some stripers on a fly! smileTonight from 6pm to Sunset I fished the incoming tide on some shoreline in San Pablo bay. I just caught a bunch of schoolies to 16" but all in just 30 minutes. Ordinarily nothing special but I got them all cast after cast, all topwater, and all fly fishing a clouser. Here's the clouser before it got chewed up:

bait = ~#2 hook white clouser from sports chalet
gear = echo classic 9wt with WF10F line (Rio Steelhead/Salmon)

Sweet, schoolies or not its still stripers on fly!!!= lots of fun especially so close to home
and in such quick time. keep hit'em...
