how long does putah take to clear

After a big rain on average how long does it take Putah to clear so that it is fishable?  Would it be fishable by monday or tuesday?   Does the lake get dirty?  I fish the lower Quinault river in washington and when Lake Quinalt gets dirty the Lower Quinault is usually out for about a month just wondering how quickly putah clears.   thanks

I was up there today and honestly I dont think its gonna be fishable next weekend, Especially since were supposed to get more rain this week. I'd have to guess and say a week without rain is what its gonna take.

There are two reasons for the stream to be murky.  The first is that one or more of the feeder streams gets muddy and dumps dirty water into the stream.  When this occurs, the stream will get clear when the feeder streams clear up.  Usually, the feeder streams clear up in only a few days.  Of course, this depends on how much rain and how much mud is stirred up.  The second reason is that Lake Berryessa gets murky and the water coming out of the dam is murky.  This is when it takes a lot more time for the stream to clear up.  The stream will only clear when the lake clears.  This can take several weeks or more.  The stream will GRADUALLY clear up so it can be fished, but it won't get back to its original color and clarity until the lake does.

With all the rain in the forecast, it may take quite a while to clear up this time.
