Well, I was hoping to fish the San Lorenzo for some steelies, but the local shop said it's raging and muddy. He did tell me that Scotts Creek clears up really fast and is probably fishable. So that's where I'm going tomorrow. Anyone ever fish that creek?

Scott Creek is a dinky creek with steelhead and salmon about 20 miles north of Santa Cruz. It does clear faster than the San Lorenzo, but I'm sure both were blown for the weekend. Its a creek where you can only fish weekends, Wednesday, and legal holidays. If you are not local, I wouldn't bother, there are very few fish in it. The steelhead run is probably 500 fish on a record year.
