In the past several months I have not seen a GW on Putah. Today I saw two in separate vehicles in 5 minutes and talked briefly to one as I was gearing up. I made sure my new blue license was highly visible. He just asked how's it going and good luck with the dingy water. The other just slowed and waved. A sign of a greater presence on their part?
I saw one about 2 weeks ago. He checked some guys using spinning gear, He didnt even bother to come over and check me, Why....Becuase as we all know flyfisherman are much more ethical. That would the 5th one i have seen in last 2 years, One even searched my pack, cooler, and trunk. Another time I came across a warden that was doin some bushwacking, Was highly surprised at that, he said " when i see a car I walk till i find them" that was cool. I think that would be a great career choice.
i have been thinkin about doing the dfg career, but right now lay offs are hurtin dfg dept right now. but it would be a great career choice.
