i will try my best, this high raise in the flow isnt gonna help me much, but then again, tomorrow it will be a lil rainy in the morning then mostly cloudy all day. so it will make for good fishing in the deep to shallow rips and pools. (fish will have a harder time seeing me due to the cloud cover). they will not spook as easly. I HOPE. and i hope this raise in the flow dont bed them down either. if so gonna have to GO DEEP, WAAAAAAAY DEEP.
SEE YA IN THE AM SK60.

I would not be surprised if that is incorrect. The graph stilll shows 91 but it says 156 below. Not the first time that info. has been wrong. I'd be pretty happy fishing putah at 156 anyways.
i would to, just not it changing a day before i go. doesnt give the fish time to chill out. but ill give it all i can tomorrow.

The fish are still biting. Hit the creek after a meeting in Davis today and was surprised by the high flows. I estimated the flows around 200 cfs, but I guess they are a little lower. Bigger flies and heavier tippet and weight are needed. Landed a nice one on a Toby special. It is just a bead melted to the hook.
bigger flies huh. shoot everything i went and got today are all small. oh well gonna give them hell, no matter how fast or slow the water is moving. ill just need a very flashy top flie for them to see and a good lookin dropper flie for then to eat. i will post either tuesday night or weds day on how the trip went.

Flows are at 189 ! Whats goin on ? This is very abnormal for this time of year, especially since we are getting rain right now. Any theories ? Maybe just maybe could they have increased flows to help spawning fish, I doubt thats it.
They have been doing maintenance work on Putah South canal-more likely to be related to that than the fish. Or maybe a number of swimming pools need to be refilled along the I-80 corridor.
thats a good one, pools, hahaha, ya they dont care about the fish. like steve said they have been doing work, and when it is done they will increase flows to clear it out. has nothing to do with spawning fish.
