trust me it wasnt 19 or 20, i catch strippers that are 18-20 all day in the summer time, and from my elbow to the tip of my finger is exactly 20 in, and this fish was just a lil bit bigger than that, and i know cuz i did have a chance to hold the fish so its a lil bit bigger that the 19-20 inches that you suggested. just backin up my boy with live footage of me being there. it does look smaller in the pic, and i will agree to that, thats my fault, i take bad pics, plus he is holding it pointing away from the camera which makes it look smaller than it is. so trust me when i say its not 19-20 inches. cameras sometimes makes things larger or smaller than they truly are just by positioning them differently.

I have been waiting for someone to say something about the fingers in the gills and i am glad someone finally did, First of all MY FINGERS ARE NOT IN THE GILLS, that picture is not very good, And i do admit it appears that way. How big a fish actually is in a picture is diffucult, The lighting, the angle, and how you hold a fish makes a big difference.  I know how to handle a fish, but thanx for your concern Packrat.

Yo! ... this is comedy!laughing.gif

Let me be 3rd party collaboration ... that fish was 20+ ...
I even commented early on this thread how the photo cheated
reality.  Before there was need for official ruling ... ha ha! rip.gif

As far as handling, if Michael Jackson had handled his adopted infant son as well as B & C handled this fish he wouldn't have been in the tabloids so much!

Kind of like a sandlot baseball game, and making the fair or foul call ... I say "fair ball" and d*** big one.

I've got some news for ya from "that" spot. whisper.gif Check post 11/21 and pm.

This was a strong fish and they did well to get it to hand without a net!  It had to be walked to the location where this photo was taken, and they walked it like walking a prized schnauzer ... It was not removed from the water until this shot was taken.

Nice job guys.

Ed.
