Well, hello everyone. i been fishing the creek against the dam (WATCH OUT FOR THE RESORT POLICE HAHA) with this rain on glu bugs(red). I got two natruals about 15 inches, and 3 ugly looking stockies. the size of the stock trout were good size but very thin, and bad color. c u in the water.
just so you know u can hit the damn on the opposite side of the resort, there is a path that goes all the way back. i got stopped a few times by the resort police. told me one time to get of the property, which i didnt know it was private. second time out to putah. the other time i was in the water about 1-2 ft of the bank tellin me i cant fish there. i asked him if he bought this water and i cuped some in my hand. he had nothing to say. guess he was on his monthly panties in a bunch period. it was so funny though when he told me i couldnt fish there, and i cupped some water and asked him if he paid for this. his jaw drop and a face of either wow i have to ****, or did he really just ask me if i bought that water expression was on his face. he left and i abought fell in the water laughing. had to be there. the funniest thing i ever saw.
ya i know i am a wise ass. the military did it to me. sorry.

I can defenilty see you saying that Brian. As far as the law goes, they do not own the creek, just the property around it. Guess that guy isnt up on the laws. Any navagetable water way is public property up to the high water mark as long as you access it at a public access spot, No if's and's or but's about it.
You guys have raised a good point. This can really be an issue on the Lower Yuba, where some people can get nasty. I thought that the access was available 6 ft above the high water mark, but I may be mistaken. I know someone I can ask at the Davis Flyfishers meeting this Tuesday and will check. Greg might be able to address the issue on Putah, since he knows the folks that run the resort.
hey wyteurp, would you mind tellin your wanna be 5-0 till chill out, they killin us. but ya as far as gettin to the dam opposite side of the resort and you are good. remember never ever touch the resort land, you will get yelled at.

My third time to Putah the water was high and I didn't how to cross to the other side. I asked another fisherman, and he told I have to walk across the bridge and down to the to the water... So that's what I did... They were on me like flies on dog sh*t... That was before I knew about those a$$holes. They won't even tell you politely when you tell them this is your first time here and you didn't know... Buncha jerks.
I saw a couple of guys getting kicked off yesterday.
