Caught three small native bows this afternoon in 2 hours of fishing. One came on a size 16 pt and the other 2 on a size 18 pt. Only one long distance release. Overall, it was a great time at Putah creek.

Glad someone had a good day. I fished #3 and #5 today without any luck. I was throwing all of the usual patterns, but nothing was producing. The bait anglers I ran into were crushing the fish; saw more than a few full stringers. I ended my day early after some fellows showed up with a case beer, spinning rods, and some sort of rifle. Figured there was no need to hang around for target practice.

Sorry to hear about the skunk. Beer, guns, and idiots definitetly do not mix. Fortunately, in the half a dozen times I have fished the creek so far, I have not run into any problems with any degenerates. From what I have heard, it is only a matter of time. I worry about walking back to my truck in the dark by myself sometimes.
