Hit the creek with a friend of mine on Tuesday and also hit the creek in the afternoon on Thursday. Had some major action on Tuesday morning ending up with 8 fish landed the biggest was 16" and the rest were 12" or more. I lost a whole bunch too, my buddy landed 6 also in that size range. Thursday came, so I just went out for a couple hours in the afternoon had had another awsome day landed 4 fish in about 5 or six cast off dry fly, and then went to another hole and switched up to nymphs, and lost 3 monsters. One of the pigs I hooked into was full of energy, kept clearing the water about 3 or 4 times but then the last jump he shook loose. Ah well I'll get em next time. Just a good week at the creek! - tight lines..
Nice report, Nic. I've been hooking into some nice fish lately as well. There's been some decent mayfly activity the past few times I've been out. It takes some true faith to tie on a #20 or smaller bug, though, when the current is pounding like it has been. What flies were you guys using?

I was throwing size 22 wd40's and a size 18 emerging caddis pupah pattern that I have been working on (which seems to be working now), also size 18 p. adams when using dry flies. I usialy stick with sizes 18 - 22 on putah, unless I'm swinging streamers. Sometimes I use bigger flies but I just stick with what works for me.
