Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been visiting this board for some years, and always find it informative, positive and very civil, especially compared to some other boards out there. I saw that some of you are getting involved in helping the creek stay healthy, which inspired me to sign up.
I have been fishing Putah creek for over 10 years now and have been fishing it a lot since my son was born 8 years ago and I am not able to do so many long trips anymore.
I love the creek and come often just for half a day (from S.F). I mostly fish Putah once the flows drop below 350. During the low flow time in the winter I tend to stay away and pursue Steelies.
Welcome to the board, Marcel. I don't have much time to travel either, so I fish Putah quite a bit. I can get in a few hours of fishing before heading off to school or work. I don't know what I'd do without Putah Creek. I'd probably be doing a lot more warm water fishing. Maybe I'll see you out on the creek sometime.
