My understanding is that they are the posted, public access areas along the main road. Look for the redwood-colored signs with yellow lettering that say "Putah Creek #3 Access - Public Fishing". Not sure that is the exact wording, but it is similar. There was a good map link on Bono's site (the entry page to this forum). Give that a try.
http://www.fishsniffer.com/maps/putah.html Try this link, its not a very good map, but it may help ya, I don't know how you could miss the access area's. Despite what this map states access #4 is not closed.
Dude the first like 5 or so times I fished Putah I had no idea about the access spots, even though they're on the road to the bridge where I spent most of my time fishing!
They are along the road and the Fish Sniffer map will help you out!
There are six main areas along the creek: the bridge and the five numbered access areas. Access #5 is the parking lot along the highway that is closest to Lake Solano. Access #1 is the parking lot just downstream from the resort. The other numbered access points are in between. There are also numerous pullouts along the highway with awesome fishing. Be sure to check those out.
